Carlos Tarrasón, CEO of Cluster Consulting and consultant at WIPO, participated in the Origens Brasileiras Event in São Paulo, Brazil, from November 28 to 29, 2024. He presented on the 29th in the session "Successful GI practices to create value and sustain traditions and local economies".

The bioeconomy is based on the use of renewable biological resources for the production of food, energy and other products, aiming at environmental, social and economic sustainability and technological innovation.

On July 9th 2024, a meeting was held with representatives of the cluster Beekeeping in the North of Minas to define the positioning strategy for aroeira honey produced in the region. .

On October 19, 2023, Carlos Tarrasón gave the conference “Advances, challenges and next steps in the implementation of the Aroeira Honey Designation of Origin in the North of Minas” at the XX Beekeeping Seminar in the North of Minas.

On April 22, 2021 we held the project kick-off meeting with Innóvate Perú, PRODUCE and the ITP to execute the technological roadmap for food ingredients in Peru. Project that seeks to develop the high value vegetable food ingredients industry and its supply chains in Peru. See project details here.

On July 9th, 2020, Cluster Consulting presented, to institutions and companies of the cocoa and chocolate sector, the results of the consulting project to identify and analyze the international demand for sustainable and deforestation-free Amazonian cocoa. On Dezember 4th, 2019, was presented the action plan and governance structure for the "Dairy Cluster in Cajamarca", Perú. The project, which is being developed by Cluster Consulting, is an initiative of the Peruvian institution CEDEPAS Norte supported by Innóvate Perú (Production Ministry).

On October 3rd, 2019, an event was held for the second presentation of the "Dairy Cluster in Cajamarca" project in Perú. Carlos Tarrasón presented and validated the strategy for the future of the cluster based on information from the national market research and international benchmark which included a reference trip to France. The project, which is being developed by Cluster Consulting, is an initiative of the Peruvian institutions CEDEPAS, COREMYPE and Innóvate Perú.

 
 

On August 15th, 2019, Carlos Tarrasón spoke about the "Future of food and beverages: new segments and business models - Brazil vision and Global market". The presentation was part of the the "Forum SEBRAE business development", promoted by the SEBRAE, in Cuiaba, MT, Brazil.

On July 17, 2019, an event was held for the first presentation of the "Dairy Cluster in Cajamarca" project in Perú. Carlos Tarrasón presented the results of the cluster diagnosis and information about the dairy industry in Perú and the world. He also talked about the main consumer trends that affect the dairy sector and the main challenges of the dairy cluster in Cajamarca. The project, which is being developed by Cluster Consulting, is an initiative of the Peruvian institutions CEDEPAS, COREMYPE and Innóvate Perú.

On June 11, 2019, an event was held for the launch of the project: "Dairy Products Cluster in Cajamarca", in Peru. The project, which is being developed by Cluster Consulting, is an initiative of the Peruvian institutions CEDEPAS, COREMYPE and Innóvavate Peru.

Carlos Tarrasón presented on May 30, 2019, in Santo Domingo, the study and diagnosis of the Agricultural Chains of Dominican Republic, with the objective of increasing the competitiveness of the supply and the quality of the goods and services produced in the country and support the strategic plan of the agricultural sector. The study presents the results of the analysis of ten value chains for agricultural products in the Dominican Republic: avocado, cacao, banana, coconut, mango, pineapple, greenhouse vegetables, oriental vegetables, passion fruit and cassava. The project was carried out in partnership with the "Consejo Nacional de Competitividad" of Dominican Republic and with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

In this article, published by Carlos Tarrasón and Vinícius Dias, national and international strawberry market data are presented, as well as alternatives for more profitable and competitive productions. Production and consumption are increasing both in Brazil and in other countries, generating opportunities for small, medium and large producers. In addition, the fruit has attracted producers because of its rapid returns, since the time between growing the seedlings and harvesting is only 45 days.

On February 28th, 2019, Cluster Consulting presented the results of the South of Bahia Cocoa Sector Strategic Analysis project for producers and agents related to the cocoa chain in the city of Ilhéus, Bahia. The project began in October 2018, with the objective of guiding the producers and companies of the region in their strategic vision of medium and long term. The work was an initiative of SEBRAE-BA and the Arapyaú Institute.

On January 15th, 2019, the Prioritization of Agro-Export Chains for the Dominican Republic project was started. The project will analyze 10 value chains of the country, with elaboration of a strategic plan, recommendations of prioritization and actions for the future. The project is an initiative of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the National Competitiveness Council of the Dominican Republic.
